Job Summary

  • Completion of the twelfth (12th) school grade including business subjects with an emphasis on word and information processing and track or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college.
  • A minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible experience in the area of specialization.
  • Strong organizational interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Proven ability working with various computer software programs and databases.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Demonstrated self-initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with data entry using MS Excel Word; and familiarity with Visio and CARM.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and track project deliverables.
  • Mature individual with the ability to adapt to change and work in a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • As part of your pre-hire screening you will be required to complete an Enhanced Security Clearance. Should you accept employment with the Edmonton Police Service you acknowledge and agree to participate in future Enhanced Security Re-Clearances at scheduled intervals or in any other circumstances exigent or otherwise as required by Human Resources Division.

Hours of Work:
40 hours per week Monday - Friday 0800-1600 hours.

Salary Range:
21B Salary Grade: 013 $27.813 - $34.876 (Hourly) $2225.00 - $2790.10(Bi-Weekly) $58073.54 - $72821.09 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.

The Edmonton Police Service requires one (1) organized detail-oriented flexible individual to provide project coordination and tracking for the Technical Program Section of the Emergency Communications and Operation Management Branch.
Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide direct administrative and executive support as required.
  • Receive and respond to all forms of enquiries (i.e. telephone email regular mail etc.) in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure that confidential documents are distributed in accordance with intelligence related protocols.
  • Ensure that the DMT has been briefed regarding important agenda items prior to all meetings.
  • Assist the DMT with the management of branch priorities by being responsible for the assignment and management of all branch tasks including providing regular updates to the DMT on the status of these tasks on a regular basis.
  • Attend meetings and record transcribe and disseminate accurate meeting minutes.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external partners.
  • Provide strong leadership by actively supporting all forms of employee engagement initiatives within the division Ensure organizational priorities and performance objectives are followed.
  • Processing of all annual vacations leaves overtime and other administrative/payroll components.
  • Providing Direct Administrative Support for the ECOMB Quality Assurance and Training Units
  • Other related duties as required.
