About this position:
SCADA Intern will assist the Distribution Operations Control team. This role will work directly with our ADMS/SCADA platform to help advance system functionality and operational efficiency. Position will offer hands-on experience in real-time monitoring and control systems supporting initiatives that enhance reliability and optimize performance across our distribution network. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical knowledge in SCADA technologies while contributing to projects that drive innovation and continuous improvement.
About this job:
- Provide direct support to DOC team members with a primary focus on assisting DOC Sr. Engineer (SCADA) in tasks associated within ADMS
- Assist in documenting workflows and validating configurations for SCADA processes
- Support testing activities to ensure accurate deployment and functionality of critical features
- Collaborate with team members during project meetings and contribute to discussions on SCADA advancements
- Gain in-depth knowledge of Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) platforms
- Understand the operational role of utility control rooms including real-time monitoring switching operations and outage management
- Learn how ADMS and SCADA integrate to support system operations and advanced functionality with Grid Modernization
- Experience the processes and decision-making that drive safe and efficient utility operations

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite
- Familiarity with SCADA systems or interest in learning operational technologiesMust be able to work closely with other individuals and cooperate with other departments
- Students must have completed Freshman level or higher by start date
- Must be in good academic standing
- Must Provide GPA in Resume upon application

Will work closely with other groups within the company including leaders of Operations Contact Center Grid Operations Construction Planning and Safety to assure that the planning and execution of work is performed safely on schedule and effectively.
