SALARY: $22/ hour

ROLE: 1 Year contract

SHIFT: Day shift. Some weekends required.

Day Shift: 7:00AM 3:00PM

JOB DESCPETION:

  • Responsible for working with Brewing Personnel to provide quality assurance.
  • Ensure Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards are maintained.
  • Coordinate and lead quality improvement projects.
  • Analyze micro packaging brewing analytical results and follow up as required.
  • Comply with environmental health and safety policies.
  • Perform routine testing and analysis of brewing and packaging in-process samples and finished product for tests outlined in mandatory program.
  • Data-entry and management responsibilities for quality data into LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
  • Responsible for laboratory equipment cleaning maintenance and calibration.
  • Train and conduct audits to support understanding with operators on quality testing.
  • Provide data and analysis to troubleshoot Brewing and Packaging quality issues.
  • Review brewing and packaging Quality Control check sheets for any non-conformances and alert department as necessary.
  • Support PI tracking and management of Quality related PIs.
  • Cross-train in the Micro and Packaging labs for vacation coverage.
  • Other duties as necessary.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in chemistry food science microbiology engineering or any science related field preferred.
  • Relevant and applicable experience in Quality control in a food production environment.
  • Good communication impact and influence skills.
  • Able to work under minimal supervision as well as with a team.
  • Desire to innovate and ability to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Proficient Computer skills (excel word outlook).
  • Knowledge of HACCP (Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Point) principles considered an asset.
  • Able to work some weekends when required.
