Position: Therapist 2
Program: Park Street Inn
Location: New Haven
Salary: $65-70000/year
Schedule: Monday through Friday regular business hours with flexibility to meet the needs of the program.
Program Summary:
Park Street Inn is a program serving adults with serious and persistent mental illness. The program provides supervised residential support on-site clinical vocational and psycho-educational services. Our collaborative goals are to maintain residential stability manage psychiatric symptoms increase community participation and develop skills to transition to a more independent level of care
Position Summary:
The clinician is responsible for: providing onsite individual and group therapy utilizing evidence based and trauma informed practices; establishing individualized treatment and crisis plans and providing education and staff support surrounding clinical interventions and client needs.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational and documentation skills an ability to work effectively in a team environment and an ability to proactively implement strategies to engage clients in services. Experience working with individuals who have chronic mental illness or individuals with co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred.
Working within Adult Services the Therapist 2 works on the Residential Behavioral Health Team to support individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
Requirements:
- Masters Degree
- LMSW or LPC-A with 5 years experience in the mental health field. Fully licensed LPC or LCSW strongly desired
- ValidDrivers License
Orientation:
If selected for employment with The Connection newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
