Job Context & Major Challenges
Position Title: Medical Officer OHC
Location: Hindalco Industries Limited Muri Ranchi
Reporting To: Unit HR Head
Job Purpose:
Provide preventive curative and wellness healthcare services to employees and dependents ensuring legal compliance and promoting a healthy workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Healthcare Services
- Conduct periodic medical exams (PME) for all employees including contract workers.
- Provide clinical consultations emergency care and follow-ups.
- Monitor and reduce Red & Amber Zone health cases.
- Maintain digital health records using PEHEL & OHMS.
2. Infrastructure & Compliance
- Support infrastructure upgrades to meet NABH standards.
- Ensure availability and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Coordinate specialty OPDs (e.g. cardiology pediatrics).
3. Employee Wellness
- Organize quarterly wellness activities and awareness sessions.
- Engage with Medical Committee and support family fund processing.
4. Inventory & Cost Management
- Monitor medicine inventory and optimize procurement.
5. Digitalization & Reporting
- Utilize PEHEL & OHMS for diagnostics certifications and sick leave tracking.
- Ensure timely reporting and analytics.
6. Capex & Projects
- Assist in execution of OHC-related Capex projects.
- Ensure safety during installations and upgrades.
7. Training & Development
- Mentor junior staff and support training programs.
- Participate in safety training subcommittees.
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBBS with valid registration under MCI/State Medical Council.
- 35 years of experience in industrial/occupational health.
- AFIH or Occupational Health certification preferred.

- Digital proficiency in health systems.
