SLP responsibilities
- Assess develop and implement speech therapy treatment plans with measurable goals.
- Engage patients with fun age-appropriate games and activities to keep them motivated.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure quality care.
SLP qualifications
- Certification in Speech Language Pathology and valid state license to practice in Texas.
Basic Physical Requirements
- Must be able to maintain various postures such as kneeling sitting standing squatting for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to regularly walk and run for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to transition from sitting to standing and vice versa independently.
- Must be able to utilize quick body movements as may be required by the behavior intervention plan.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Must be able to transfer/position/transport patients and adaptive equipment.
- Must have the visual ability to read and understand written communication via computer electronic devices and paper means.
- Must have the manual dexterity to perform electronic device functions such as data collection.
