Waste Services are looking for an individual who is licenced to drive up to 7.5-ton vehicles to work as part of our recycling collections teams. You will be required to drive and load as a crew member various vehicle. Initially working within the Cottage Beck Depot collection and recycling team but after completing successful probation you may be asked to support other collection teams within waste services.
You will supervise your collection team and be responsible for your crews performance against our service standards.
The role will be physically demanding and most collection work will be outdoors in all weather conditions. You must have good interpersonal/communication skills and a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
You must be the holder of a full driving license with a 7.5-ton entitlement current CPC drivers card Valid tachograph card and have recent 7.5-ton driving experience.
Duties will include but not limited to:
Driving LGV vehicles (7.5 t) Class C1
Completing daily paperwork
Collecting recycling scheme boxes materials and bins
Sort recyclables and check the right kind of materials have been put out
Inspect materials for any contaminations and issue rejection tickets
Speak to members of the public about recycling schemes and give information
Ensure the correct protective equipment is correctly worn at all times
Ensure work is carried out to the highest standards of health and safety
You will be required to manage all aspects of a recycling collection round i.e. vehicle crew and collection duties from households throughout North Lincolnshire.
Periodically and by prior notice you will be required to attend training and engagement days on your non-working weekday.
You will be required to work the occasional Saturday to provide collections in lieu of a bank holiday.

The service we provide operates a 4-day shift system so you will work Tuesday to Friday.
4 days per week
37 hours per week with 1 hour banked to cover any training requirements.
Payment for any overtime worked.
