Scope

We are looking for a passionate professional to lead Indirect Tax (ITX) initiatives across APAC and EMEA! This role covers new ITX requirements monitoring e-reporting and e-invoicing mandates supporting improvement projects audits and managing litigation.

You will stay ahead of changes in ITX legislation get clarification where needed and ensure timely implementation by relevant process owners across regions. We expect you to monitor e-invoicing and digital reporting requirements across APAC and EMEA and to communicate these to the relevant stakeholders to ensure readiness. Youll maintain documentation connect VAT compliance teams with project groups and deliver training sessions to promote best practices and operational consistency.

In audits youll coordinate with third-party providers and internal teams manage communications document findings and apply lessons learned to improve processes. You will build strong relationships with key process owners and develop a deep understanding of the organizational structure to support efficient audit management. For ITX reserves youll collect and assess data communicate findings and drive cross-regional standardization.

Key Qualifications

  • Degree in finance and accounting related fields

  • Sound understanding of indirect tax compliance and legislation (APAC & EMEA focus) and new digital reporting requirements.

  • Experience in managing tax audits litigation and dispute management

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Data savvy and demonstrated proficiency in using and leveraging digital tools and platforms to enhance productivity standardization and communication and eagerness to embrace new technologies.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP and other supportive tools e.g. Power BI Alteryx

  • Ability to lead cross-regional initiatives and work in a global matrix environment.

Languages:

  • Fluent English both spoken and written confident in presenting to senior management in English

Experience Required:

  • 7 years job experience in indirect tax area preferably in a shared service or COE set up

  • Strong people/team manager skillset and experience is required.

  • Depending on the candidates relevant experience this role can be tailored to a Manager or Sr Manager position
