Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program in the School of Health Professions at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor (12MO). The successful candidate will:

  • Serve as a full-time faculty member providing classroom and lab instruction in assigned courses as part of the CAAHEP curriculum.
  • Assess student learning and skills and provide academic advisement.
  • Provide mentorship of senior projects as well as participation in clinical site supervision student recruitment and college service.
  • Maintain ARDMS credentials and clinical practice experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited U.S. college/university and must have graduated from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
  • Prior clinical experience required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and computer literacy as well as strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • RDCS RDMS RVT Certifications.
  • Masters Degree.
  • Academic experience.

Work Schedule:

Variable Days; Variable Hours (Full-Time)
