Functional QA Tester

Position Description:

Job Title QA Engineer (Charles River / SimCorp Functional & Automation Roles)
Experience: 2 12 years

We are hiring QA professionals with strong expertise in Charles River / SimCorp manual testing automation API and ETL testing. Candidates should possess solid domain knowledge in wealth management trading and financial services along with hands-on testing experience across the SDLC.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Order Routing for Trade Execution
Additional CRD / SimCorp Knowledge (Important)

FIX
Static Data Setup
Reports Module
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements and functional specs to create detailed test plans and test cases.
Perform functional regression integration system and UAT testing.
Design test strategies align test cases with requirements and user stories.
Validate end-to-end workflows across:
Client Account Onboarding & Servicing
Financial Planning
Portfolio Management
Trading (Mutual Funds GICs Stocks etc.)
Reporting & Taxation
Account Fee Billing
Regulatory Compliance
Collaborate with BAs developers and product owners to clarify and validate requirements.
Log track and manage defects via JIRA Zephyr Z-Ray TestRail or HP ALM.
Support UAT by preparing test data and guiding business users.
Ensure complete traceability between test cases and business requirements.
Maintain thorough documentation for audits and compliance.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Strong manual functional testing experience.
Expertise in writing test cases scenarios and documentation.
Hands-on with JIRA and Jira plugins (Zephyr Z-Ray).
Strong understanding of SDLC STLC QA processes.
Domain knowledge in:
Wealth Management
Financial Planning & Advisory
Trading Operations
Client Reporting & Taxation
Billing & Compliance
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in CS IT Finance or related fields.
Good SQL skills for backend validation.
Understanding of financial regulations & compliance.
Experience with Agile/Scrum.
ISTQB certification is a plus.
Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement skills.
