Mechanical Design Engineer Wiring Harness

What to expect:

• Design and develop wiring harnesses forming part of the vehicles galvanic electrical structure.
• Mechanically route and connect electrical components using wiring bundles ensuring compliance with electrical EMC and mechanical requirements.
• Develop virtual harness models and produce corresponding 2D/3D drawings for specification.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure manufacturability quality and correct implementation of harnesses.
• Verify harness functionality and robustness through design reviews test object builds and integration activities.
• Support continuous improvements in tools methods and processes within the team.
• Contribute to prototype builds bench/rig preparations and integration testing activities in an agile setting.

What you bring along:

• Background in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechatronics or similar.
• Proven competence in mechanical installation design materials used in electrical distribution systems and understanding of harness complexity.
• Experience developing harnesses supporting specific vehicle functions from concept to delivery.

• CATIA V5 including Electrical WorkbenchTeamcenterKDP and TCPLMPlaniswareWiring Harness Design workflows and methodologies

• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and balance design manufacturing and electrical requirements.

• Strong communication skills and a proactive solution-oriented mindset.

• Experience working with continuous improvements and integration of design and testing workflows.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Gothenburg location and candidates must hold valid work authorization in Sweden.
