ABOUT THE NEWLY INSTITUTE
The Newly Institute was founded to provide long-lasting change within the mental health industry our community and with our clients. We are leading a paradigm shift in the Canadian healthcare system by building a network of purpose-built mental health clinics across Canada. By fusing a bio-psycho-social-spiritual treatment model with medically managed therapies our intensive outpatient programs provide rapid access rapid resolution and rapid return to work and healthy lifestyle programs for anxiety depression addiction post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) trauma and chronic pain.
We have opportunities for Registered Psychologists to join our innovative purpose-driven and multi-disciplinary clinical teams in British Columbia.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
- Complete Psychological Assessment screens;
- Perform advanced clinical services; including psychological assessment diagnosis and/or intervention;
- Analyze and evaluate patient data and test or examination findings to diagnose nature and extent of mental disorder;
- Provide such other services as may be reasonably required by the Company and as mutually agreed upon
WHAT YOU BRING
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health assessment/triage and treatment is required.
- Experience using evidence-based trauma therapy specifically EMDR or ART is an asset.
- Experience with individual group and family counselling is an asset.
- Equivalencies of experience may be considered.
Education
- Doctoral degree (Ph. D.) in Psychology and registration with a Provincial Regulatory Body is required.
- Professional training certificates in EMDR and/or ART are significant assets.
Background Check
Contracts are conditional subject to clear police background check inclusive of vulnerable sector check.
