The Student Resident partners with the Preston Trail Student Ministry (PTSM) team to gain practical ministry experience in a high-impact environment. This role combines leadership development with active participation in volunteer equipping student engagement and event execution for Sunday morning services and mid-week events. The resident will learn how to plan communicate and lead effectively within a large church setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership Development and Ministry Training
Engage in weekly mentorship and training opportunities with the PTSM Student Pastor.
Learn ministry systems event planning and leadership best practices.
Contribute ideas and creativity to team planning and strategy meetings.
Volunteer and Student Engagement
Assist with recruiting scheduling and developing volunteer teams.
Build relationships with students and leaders to foster belonging and discipleship.
Support and occasionally lead teaching moments in Middle School and High School environments.
Events and Programming
Participate in planning and execution of Sunday mornings events camps and serve trips.
Contribute to Next Gen and all-church events as part of the PTSM team.
Help create cohesive and excellent ministry experiences for students and families.
Communications and Social Media
Help manage social media accounts to engage students and celebrate ministry moments.
Capture and share photos videos and stories that reflect life change and community.
Learn to craft and send effective leader or parent emails using the churchs communication systems.
Skilled in systems thinkingable to translate vision into actionable repeatable processes.
Strong organizational and administrative abilities with attention to detail and follow-through.
Able to balance creative leadership with operational strategy and cross-team alignment.
Youre able to commit to the residency utilizing this $2000/month stipend as supplemental income and not necessary for funding normal living costs.
Youre able to commit to this program from January 4thto August 31 2026.
