POSITION SUMMARY: The Nursing Department at the Barnett College of Public Health invites applications for our Post BSN-Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program Coordinator faculty position. This is a non-tenure track academic year instructional position and the candidate would join our faculty in Summer 2026. Faculty rank will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor of Instruction rank commensurate with experience. The Post BSN-DNP Program Coordinator will instruct within our program and direct the organizational administration of the Post-BSN to DNP program by providing leadership and oversight for all aspects of the program including governance didactic and clinical curriculum recruitment and evaluation.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Post BSN DNP-PC is assigned to the Nursing Department as a full-time core faculty member. The primary administrative responsibilities of the person serving as Post BSN-DNP Program Coordinator are to ensure the academic and clinical administration of the program according to the College of Public Health (CPH) and Temple University policies the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Standards and the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing (PASBON) regulations. This individual will work in collaboration with the Post Masters DNP Program Coordinator DNP faculty and chair to ensure the smooth running of the Post BSN-DNP program. Responsibilities also will include coordination with various departments to handle admissions recruitment advisement clinical placements curriculum design and program evaluation. Additional programmatic duties may be assigned by the Department Chair. Administrative responsibilities are expected to comprise approximately 25% of the faculty members workload.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Doctoral degree in nursing
2. Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania or multistate RN licensure in another state
3. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner
4. Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner license in Pennsylvania
5. A minimum of three years of clinical practice experience as a Nurse Practitioner
6. Administrative experience in an academic or clinical setting preferred
7. Teaching experience with a DNP program
