| Job Description: | The Department of Pediatrics Neurology Division is currently accepting applications for a Psychologist. This Full-Time Psychologist position is staffed in our Multidisciplinary Diagnostic & Training Program (MDTP). This is a full-time (FTE 1.0) 12-month psychologist position at the FDLRS UF Multidisciplinary Diagnostic and Training Program. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: - Administering a broad range of standardized cognitive oral language (including phonological awareness) and academic achievement measures and parent and teacher questionnaires to evaluate students cognitive academic and socio emotional functioning interpreting the results and identifying evidence based interventions to address identified needs; and reviewing data to assess response to interventions (within an MTSS framework; analyzing interpreting and reporting student data and using student data to assess response to interventions).
- Formulating written consultation and evaluation/assessment reports including summaries of students educational histories prior evaluation findings response to intervention data and pertinent evidence based recommendations for intervention strategies; planning and preparing effective intervention strategies for parents and teachers; coordinating planning and participating in case conferences with parents and educators to share information and develop an action plan to address the needs of children with special educational needs; conducting comprehensive progress monitoring assessments with students families and teachers/school personnel to determine the effectiveness and implementation levels of recommendations; conducting student observations in classroom settings.
- Providing consultation services to parents teachers administrators and other school staff to
facilitate the educational engagement learning skill development and readiness for post-secondary transition of K 12th grade students with complex needs who are struggling academically. Coordinating developing and/or conducting in service and pre-service training for educators related professionals and parents as well as educational and training programs for educators and school personnel; developing coordinating participating in staff development programs. - Serving as liaison between MDTP schools and other agencies; working effectively with students parents colleagues community agencies and staff; collecting and analyzing data and maintaining program activity databases; compiling and drafting reports related to program activities; interpreting administrative regulations and policies and recommending new and improved programs within MDTP; analyzing synthesizing maintaining and disseminating pertinent current information from the Florida Department of Education on pertinent state and federal policies and laws and related educational policies programs and procedures; preparing reports and maintaining all appropriate records as required and in a timely manner.
This position will be supervised by the Program Director. This is a time-limited position that is dependent on grant-funding |

| Expected Salary: | $92500 - $102500; commensurate within this range with experience. |

| Minimum Requirements: | A doctorate in psychology from an accredited college or university which includes one year of supervised internship experience in professional psychology; and licensure as a psychologist by the State of Florida in accordance with Chapter 490 F.S. |

| Preferred Qualifications: | - Doctorate in Psychology from an accredited institution
- Valid license and certifications in identified area of specialty from the State of Florida
- At least three (3) years experience
- Valid drivers license and be able to drive within the north-central Florida service region
- Strong knowledge and experience with a broad range of standardized psychological language academic executive and autism assessment measures and evidence-based interventions for K-12 neurocognitive neurodevelopmental and related difficulties impacting school functioning and academic progress
- Strong working knowledge of Floridas Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and proficiency in analyzing accurately interpreting and reporting student data
- Ability to effectively deliver evidence-based consultation and instructional support to teachers parents principals and district staff for struggling Kg-12th grade students with dyslexia and other special education needs
- Proficiency in communicating results of evaluation findings in written and oral formats to assist students parents and school personnel to identify effective approaches to address communication (articulation & oral language) learning and behavior problems that are impacting academic progress
- Ability to work with diverse groups collaborate effectively with others flexibly problem-solve and facilitate effective conflict resolution
- Strong working knowledge of current exceptional student education (ESE) policies and procedures and pertinent state and federal laws and school district and community resources available to families of children with disabilities
- Ability to design and deliver evidence-based professional development/training to educators school support staff parents related service providers and agency personnel
- Experience and proficiency with industry-standard computer applications
- Ability to use technology effectively
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement of professional knowledge and skills
- Flexible workday and hours are required to accommodate client needs
- Bilingual with Spanish language proficiency
