Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the HSE Management System
- Work with HSE resources HR resources and Operations to review adjust and
approve all compliance related documents procedures and initiatives - Provide resources to the HSE team to successfully execute Management System
- Provide support needed for HSE personnel performance and development
- Provide developmental opportunities for HSE personnel and assist in developing individual development plans
- Develop and maintain a succession planning strategy for the HSE Department
- With input from the team develop Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the HSE team and oversee progress
- Work with the HSE team to balance workload associated with maintaining the HSE Management system OKRs and other strategic initiatives
- Organizational emergency preparedness (e.g. Hurricane)
- Drive continuous excellence and improvement in company case management capabilities across all geographies
- Support HSE resources with management and care of injuries
- Oversee all aspects of VPP Program
- Maintain relationships with government agencies (e.g. OSHA EPA)
- Maintain strategic relationships with key customers
- Fulfill duties associated with key customer strategic steering teams.
- Represent company with key strategic relationships including but not limited to: AFPM NFPA NCCER Area Safety Councils and Local Business Roundtable
- Responsibility for departmental budget and cost
- Monitor subcontractor performance
- Provide oversight for compliance management systems (e.g. ISN)
- Provide oversight and track all contract reviews to completion
- Ensure compliance with all environmental rules and regulations
