Responsibilities:
Handle all phases of employment litigation including discrimination harassment and retaliation claims.
Manage FLSA and wage and hour matters including class and collective actions.
Conduct legal research draft pleadings motions and memoranda.
Take and defend depositions manage discovery and interview witnesses.
Prepare EEOC position statements DFEH responses and other administrative filings.
Provide advice and counsel to employers on compliance with federal state and local employment laws including:
COVID-related regulations and workplace safety laws
ADA/FEHA compliance and disability accommodation
FMLA CFRA PDL and other leave laws
Offer guidance on labor relations employee relations and internal investigations.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active California Bar membership in good standing.
47 years of experience in employment litigation.
Demonstrated knowledge of California and federal employment laws.
Experience managing cases independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
Strong research analytical and writing skills with a high attention to detail.
Excellent client service orientation and ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
A proactive organized and motivated approach to building a long-term career in employment law.
