POSITION PURPOSE:
The Lead Employer Assistance Representative supports the Employer Assistance team by handling escalated service cases related to employer reporting and delinquency status. The role is also responsible for maintaining the Funds database relating to Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) with the District Council employer associations and independent contractors. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate employer census data and current wage and benefit rates for all CBAs. The role also requires coordinating employer surety (bonds certificate of deposits or escrows) to ensure compliance with agreement terms. This includes managing the process for refunding sureties when appropriate and initiating seizures to address employer delinquencies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Request the addition and removal of companies from the District Councils Further Action List.
Handle escalated communications and complex requests from employers members and inter-department teams ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Resolve intricate employer requests for account adjustments and refunds in accordance with company policy.
Act as subject matter expert for Employer Assistance functions.
Serve as a primary point of contact assisting employers via telephone/email to clarify CBAs and applicable rates.
Contribute to the development of internal procedures and provide guidance and training to staff.
Update and maintain comprehensive CBA information including wage and benefit rates and signatory employer details within the Funds database.
Maintain the archive of CBAs and benefit rates received by the District Council.
Distribute hard and electronic copies of collective bargaining agreements upon request.
Maintain the Association roster file.
Assess and ensure employers maintain the appropriate surety level as dictated by their CBA.
Notify employers regarding necessary surety increases or renewals.
Coordinate the increases or renewals of surety documentation with employers.
Process surety refunds when appropriate and coordinate seizures to cover benefit delinquencies.
Review all surety forms and documents for accuracy and completeness requesting missing information as needed.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Monitor employer compliance with benefit reporting and payment obligations as defined by their Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Support Business Representatives by verifying field information via telephone or in-person.
Special projects relating to CBAs signatory employers and rates
REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree preferred but not required.
Additional equivalent experience beyond the minimum required may substitute for the educational requirement.
Strong verbal telephonic and written communication skills.
Enjoy being an individual contributor and a team-player.
Experience working with multiple CBAs and various employer associations.
Able to prioritize organize and work efficiently complete tasks with deadlines transition from task-to-task and maintain focus.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced time sensitive environment with a sense of urgency
Must have exceptional follow up / follow-thru skills to keep managers abreast of pending signatory contractors
Strong attention to detail and have an organized workflow
Must have proven record of excellent customer service skills
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of benefit fund administration system
Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements

Salary and Benefits:
Salary Range: $58000- $68000
