What Youll Need

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a care assistant in a residential or nursing home
  • Understanding of person-centred care planning principles
  • Awareness of safeguarding abuse prevention and recognising signs of abuse
  • Strong communication teamwork and reliability
  • Compassionate patient-focused approach to care

What Youll Do

  • Deliver high-quality care and support in line with individual care plans
  • Supervise and guide a team of care assistants to maintain best practices
  • Recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns following correct procedures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records
  • Communicate effectively with residents families and the wider care team
  • Support residents physical emotional and social wellbeing
