Job Summary
Position Summary
The Jacobs School of Music seeks applicants for a visiting full-time faculty position in the Ballet Department for the 2025-26 academic year (August 1 2026 to May 31 2027). The successful candidate will possess demonstrable strengths as a performer and choreographer will be able to work effectively with faculty colleagues and will be able to inspire gifted students in a highly competitive and professionallyoriented educational environment. Responsibilities include teaching ballet technique pointe virtuosity variations and both contemporary and classical ballet partnering (team-taught with a colleague) for all ballet majors; staging and coaching ballets for the IU Ballet Theater; choreographing new works for IU Ballet Theater and IU Opera Theater productions; and teaching select classes for the upper level of the Jacobs Academy Ballet Program. Participation in recruitment auditions student advising and other department activities and participation in projects within the Jacobs School is expected.
