Job Summary
Machine Operator
Shift: Sunday - Thursday 10:30pm - 7:00am
What Production Operation contributes to Cardinal Health
Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement supply chain management quality assurance employee safety and engagement and environmental commitment.
Production Operation operates light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and automation equipment. May set up machining machines and make adjustments and perform maintenance on machines. Checks work using prescribed gauges jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Responsibilities:
Cross train on multiple machines in various departments.
Inspect in line finished materials and productson line.
Complete paperwork to ensure quality on product
Maintain high levels of productivity and quality output on assigned machines
Follow design specifications to produce quality product
Troubleshoot machine as needed
Follow schedule of production and work with lead/supervisor to ensure production demands are met.
Push pull lift and move up to 30lbs
Qualifications
1-2 years of experience preferred
High School diploma GED or equivalent or equivalent work experience preferred
What is expected of you and others at this level
Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks
Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area
Maintains appropriate licenses training and certifications
Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution
Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
Adheres to all quality guidelines
Works under moderate degree of supervision
Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor
Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor
Pay Rate:$23.80 per hour (includes shift differential)
