Job Summary
Extrusion-Compounding Process Engineer
Responsibilities:
- To support the Industrial and Validations Engineer as well as the production personnel in the activities related to the extrusion and compounding processes.
- Search develop and implement new technologies to improve Development of Extrusion-Compounding areas.
- To identify and minimize issues related to the process to reduce the levels of waste in the Extrusion-Compounding areas.
- Perform engineering studies Related to root cause investigations processes characterization as well as evaluations in Extrusion-Compounding processes.
- Provide support to Extrusion-Compounding department in elaboration and modification of documents.
- To train the Extrusion-Compounding maintenance personnel on the new equipment and improvements before delivering the equipment for normal production.
- Ensure that the extrusion processes is performed within validated parameters fulfilling the specifications required by product and that all production is done in accordance with quality standards with strict adherence to procedures established in the company and to the GMPs.
- Supervise and participation in the organization of Extrusion Technicians in the activities related to process.
- Direct participation in validation processes in Extrusion and Compounding areas.
- Verification of records Related to direct activities of process.
- Start up and adjustment of extruder machines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in mechanical Chemical or Electronic Engineering.
- Wide technical experience in development of procedures specifications drawings validations and other documents as required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Knowledge of mechanical design.
- Quality Tools (Cause-and-effect Diagram Pareto Control Chart etc.)
- Computer skills: Microsoft Software (Excel Word Power Point etc.)
- Knowledge of PVC resin specifications in plastic areas.
- Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive personality
- Availability to work in any work schedule (Day night or weekends)
