Job Responsibilities/Job Functions:
- Manage all aspects of the project including planning execution monitoring and controlling of cloud and data center projects through the application of proven project management principles and methodologies.
- Develop and maintain all project documentation (Project Plan Issue and Action Logs Risk Management Communication Plan Status Reports Post Implementation Reviews etc.).
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including development operations and security to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions.
- Use critical thinking skills to anticipate and manage potential risks that will arise. Communicate these to the stakeholders on a regular basis and ensure decisions are made quickly and effectively.
- Effectively allocate and manage technical resources ensuring projects are adequately staffed and equipped to meet deadlines.
- Identify and resolve technical issues during project execution providing expert guidance and support to team members.
- Implement monitoring solutions to track the performance of cloud and data center systems and analyze metrics to drive optimization efforts.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or requirements.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of technical specifications processes and project outcomes for future reference and compliance.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies.
- Provide direction and support to team members while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
Job Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in project management preferably in projects associated with the deployment or implementation of Data Center and Cloud services for customers.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) required. ITIL certification is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and other MS Office tools.
- High level of energy and strong passion to lead team members to successful completion of projects and to ensure the delivery of a positive customer experience.
- Great attention to detail.
- Superior skill set including analytical thinking and problem solving coaching and leadership presentation and facilitation negotiation and relationship building and proficient probing listening and positioning skills.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager preferably in the data center cloud services or IT infrastructure industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale complex projects from initiation to completion.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations standards and compliance requirements in the data center industry.
Must have skills:
- IT technical skills
- PM skills
- IT/Cloud solutions knowledge
Notes:
- Looking for candidate that is more of an IT CLOUD solutions architect with PM skills.
- Travel within Canada occasionally
