A career in Deals Valuations will provide you with the opportunity to help organizations unlock greater value from existing businesses and assets as well as new acquisitions investments and complex corporate arrangements. Our focus is on a series of services such as valuations to support financial reporting M&A tax and corporate reorganizations as well as valuation advice including deal pricing and value consulting to support management decisions related to transactions and corporate short upon being a member of our team you will support clients to make profound strategic decisions on value better conduct business transactions and decisions and satisfy regulatory requirements leveraging your professional skills and in-depth industry knowledge.

As a Senior Associateyoullwork as part of a team of problem solvers helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Business Valuation

Understand the business/assets being valued its historical and projected performance as well as key strengths and challenges
Conduct financial research into industry and general economic conditions discount rates/cost of capital valuation multiples for relevant public companies and precedent transactions
Engage clients in discussions around their business including operations and financial items to further our valuation analysis
Preparecomplexvaluation models tosupportandarrive atvaluationconclusions
Assistin report preparation
Perform audit support work including the review of purchase price allocations goodwill impairmentassessmentsand private equity portfolio company valuations
As part of the Deals group you will work with colleagues across all lines of services to deliver valuations alongside other services provided by PwC

An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work (Strongcommand of Microsoft Excel experience withMicrosoft PowerPlatformandPython)
A demonstrated commitment to valuing differencesdevelopingand coaching diverse teams and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
Successful candidates will have a strong financial background superior verbal and written communication skills an investigative mindset with attention to detail with an ability to see the big picture strong technical/analytical and project management skills an ability toanalyzebusiness situations and a professional and personable demeanour to interact with clients and work effectively in teams
This role best suits a team player with a CPA/CA/CFAdesignation (other accounting orfinance-baseddesignations will be considered)
Progress towards completion of the Chartered Business Valuator(CBV)designation would be anasset
