The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate Health Educator to provide engaging and effective teaching and assessment support for school-based learners undertaking their HLT33021 Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance.

Delivering to schools in Queanbeyan and Mornaro our learners will commence Year 11 from February 2026 and complete this course as part of their HSC studies .

Educators will deliver weekly learning content and assessment guidance sessions in a classroom environment during school terms and be available for individual support via phone email and online during agreed hours.

The ideal candidate will bring with them a blend of training delivery and industry experience. We welcome applicants from a diverse range of health discipline areas including but not limited to nursing allied health and general practice.

• Work type: Part time (up to 3 days per week) Must be available to work Wednesdays
• Flexible hybrid working work from home when not working at schools
• Appointment commencing: Looking to commence in mid-January 2026.
• Salary: The approximate salary range for this role is $89000 FTE per annum plus super. Dependent on level of experience.

What youll be doing:

• Planning preparing and delivering weekly face-to-face workshops based on UNE Partnerships content
• Assessing student work in accordance with UNE Partnerships assessment guidelines
• Initiating contact with students considered at risk on a regular basis to review progress and assist them to overcome barriers to completion
• Developing and monitoring Learning Support Plans for students with diverse needs
• Supporting students while they are undertaking work placement

About you:

To be successful in this role you will have a current:

• TAE40122 and/or a higher qualification in the field of Adult or Vocational Education
• Vocational qualifications and/or tertiary degree in the allied / primary health care discipline area
• Industry experience working in a relevant health care setting
• First Aid and CPR certificate and
• Working With Childrens Check (WWCC)

Additionally the following skills and background will be highly valued:

• Experience in delivery and assessment of VET programs to individuals and groups
• Competency in using Learning Management Systems (such as Moodle) and video conferencing or virtual classroom systems (such as Teams)
• Demonstrated understanding of learning principles and engagement strategies to support a diverse community of learners.
