TITLE: MIDDLE SCHOOL/HIGH SCHOOL SCIENCE TEACHER
REPORTS TO: PRINCIPAL
Primary Purpose:
The American Baccalaureate School (ABS) is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Middle/High School Science Teacher for an immediate start. The teacher will inspire students in grades 612 through engaging lessons hands-on experiments and a strong college-preparatory curriculum.
Responsibilities:
- Teach science courses across grades 612.
- Plan and deliver lessons aligned with ABS curriculum and learning objectives.
- Foster curiosity collaboration and critical thinking in the classroom.
- Differentiate instruction to support students of varying abilities.
- Design and assess labs projects and assignments with timely feedback.
- Maintain accurate student progress records and communicate regularly with parents.
- Ensure safe use of laboratory equipment and conduct risk assessments for experiments.
- Participate in departmental meetings professional development and school initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Science or related field (Masters preferred).
- Valid teaching license/certification.
- Minimum 2 years of successful science teaching experience.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to ABSs mission of preparing responsible global citizens.
