Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager plays a crucial leadership role within our dealership operations responsible for driving a high-performing supportive and collaborative culture. This position oversees the accuracy timeliness and integrity of all accounting functions while leading and developing a team of accounting and support staff.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives on improving processes and working partnership with department Directors and Controllers the Accounting Manager ensures clean schedules accurate financial reporting and efficient deal processing across assigned stores.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Support lead and mentor accounting and support staff to ensure performance growth and accountability
Oversee daily weekly and monthly accounting operations including deal processing and transaction accuracy
Maintain accurate accounting schedules; research and resolve reconciling items promptly
Complete daily bank reconciliations and positive pay reviews
Manage and authorize flooring requests wires and check/ACH approvals
Post OEM incentive payments calculate commissions and complete daily car counts
Assist in month-end close account reconciliations and timely financial reporting
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls reducing accounting and operational risks

Experience & Qualifications Needed:

2 years of accounting experience (automotive dealership experience preferred)
Leadership and team management experience required
Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze data and identify trends
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Excel and dealership management systems
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced evolving environment
