Leidos Defense Systems Systems Integration and TestTeam is seeking aJunior Environmental Test Engineer. We are a diverse team that works to implement unique solutions for complex problems in the defense sector including but not limited to kinetic and directed energy defensive and offensive platforms as well as RADAR and other surveillance and sensor technologies. Our team works across multiple business sectors with industry partners and directly with the customer. Primary Responsibilities.
- Creating modifying and executing environmental testing on system and component level hardware.
- Completing requirements verification and validation documentation and reports.
- Performing test data analysis and generating test reports from that analysis.
- Debugging software and/or hardware with various tools.
- Working directly with the customer and other support personnel on of the afore mentioned responsibilities.
- The position may require working outside in all weather conditions and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- The position may require minimal travel for test events (approximately 4 weeks a year).
Basic Qualifications
- The position requires an ABET accredited B.S. or equivalent degree in computer engineering electrical engineering or mechanical engineering with 2-4 years of experience or Masters degree with less than 2 years of experience.
- Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with defense or commercial test engineering practices and processes.
- Candidates must have experience developing and executing hardware or software test plans and procedures.
- Candidates must have direct hands-on experience with hardware software or system integration troubleshooting and testing.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three to five years of experience with test planning and execution.
- Working knowledge and operation of electronic test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope voltmeter signal analyzer/generator)
- Working knowledge and operation of environmental test equipment (e.g. thermal chamber shock and vibe table etc.)
- Experience with MIL-STD-461 MIL-STD-464 MIL-STD-810 or equivalent commercial or industrial testing.
- Experience preparing and presenting briefings and/or demonstrations to customers and management
- Planning and executing demonstration tests and US Govt test ranges/facilities

Pay Range:
Pay Range $67600.00 - $122200.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
