Job Summary
A well-regarded 1116 secondary school in Leicesteris seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to play a key role in supporting student engagement and safeguarding.
Your Responsibilities
- Monitor daily attendance and punctuality using the school MIS
- Carry out first-day calling texting and absence investigations
- Liaise with Heads of Year regarding persistent absence
- Prepare attendance reports for SLT and governors
- Meet with families to discuss attendance concerns
- Work alongside safeguarding leads when attendance flags concerns
- Coordinate penalty notices and referrals where necessary
