TRVC is currently seeking a qualified Rice Carbon Project Developer (RCPD) entity to lead the development of TRVC-wide Rice Carbon Credit Project using Quantification Approach 1 (QA1): Modeling of Soil Methanogenesis and Nitrous Oxide Fluxes under the Verra VM0051 methodology. The scope covers all six crop seasons across approximately 200000 hectares (or more) of accumulated cultivation area in An Giang and Dong Thap provinces of Viet Nam. The selected entity will be responsible for developing TRVC into a Rice Verified Carbon standard project that is in full alignment with Verras guidelines and requirements via Develop a Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Project - Verra; building on TRVC s robust data stored in Regrows MRV platform DNDC model outputs and partial PDD draft.
The Rice Carbon Project Developer (RCPD) entity will lead the preparation consolidation and submission of the Project Description to Verra for validation verification registration and associated activities. The RCPDs outputs include successful development and registry of verified carbon standard project registration carbon credit issuance and retirement to TRVCs designated entity in alignment with Viet Nams regulatory framework.
Qualifications :
Minimum 5 years of applied experience in AFOLU carbon projects and Verra VCS methodologies with at least two (2) Verra-registered AFOLU projects where the candidate was lead PDD author.
Demonstrated knowledge of VM0051 and associated VCS guidance documents practical experience with Quantification Approach 1 (model/Tier-3).
Track record with DNDC or equivalent models and cal/val OR demonstrable experience reviewing model outputs and coordinating Independent Model Examine reviews.
Experience with digital MRV systems remote sensing integration and managing aggregated smallholder project MRV.
Competent English technical writing skills; Vietnamese language capability is advantageous but not mandatory.
Team competency and or composition must include the following key personel: Lead PDD Author MRV Specialist Environment & Social/ Gender Equality and Disability Social Inclusion Specialist GIS Specialist and QA Reviewer.
