Collaborate and coordinate with external health care professionals and organizations regarding implementation of health-related services for staff and students4. Confer regularly with the districts consulting medical doctor regarding nursing procedures protocols and standing orders5. Provide consistent and comprehensive communication with the Assistant6. Review and evaluate student immunization records2. Coordinate substitutes with the Office of Human Resources3. Compile and accurately maintain all required health records whether physical or electronic including nurse office records4. Ensure the accurate systematic maintenance of student records5. Assist in the recruitment and interviewing of new nursing staff members and provide training and orientation for all new campus nurses substitute nurses and staff members assisting in the nurse office6. Supervise compile and submit all reports required by the Texas Department of State Health Services including but not limited to student immunization report vision screening report hearing screening report and spinal screening report.7. Prepare and work within an annual department budget accounting for repairs new equipment trainings and system updates8. Conduct monthly checks of district AED and appropriately supply9. Conduct district inventory of all district campus nurse offices supplies; order supplies for the coming year and ensure the timely distribution of supplies to each campus10. Maintain inventory of all nurse office equipment; allow budget money for repairs and schedule all required upkeep and certifications on equipment11.
