IMMEDIATE NEED: Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician

Pay Rate: $32$35 per hour

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations while performing skilled work across electrical HVAC plumbing and general building repairs. What This Role Involves
The Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician manages and performs preventive and reactive maintenance while leading a multi-skilled team. This role works closely with Facilities Managers and on-site teams to ensure all maintenance activities are completed in compliance with service level agreements safety standards and regulatory requirements while delivering excellent customer service.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Lead site technicians and coordinate maintenance schedules to ensure all planned and reactive work meets service level expectations
Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment HVAC systems plumbing fire safety systems and building automation systems
Complete required documentation for fire extinguishers fire suppression systems alarm contacts and other critical building systems
Coordinate with contractors and vendors complete risk assessments and follow Permit to Work and safety procedures
Ensure work orders are properly completed documented and closed in the maintenance management system
Provide technical support for projects complete small installations and perform general handyman work (locks doors fixtures)
Generate reports on engineering and maintenance activity and collaborate with internal teams to resolve unique issues professionally
Required Qualifications
Technical certification or formal training in facilities maintenance electrical HVAC or plumbing trades
35 years of experience in facilities maintenance or building operations
Strong knowledge of mechanical electrical plumbing and fire safety systems
Experience using maintenance management systems and work order platforms
Understanding of health safety and permit-to-work procedures
Proven leadership ability and experience overseeing technicians
Strong documentation reporting and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading multi-skilled maintenance teams in commercial facilities
Knowledge of building automation systems and energy management practices
Familiarity with service level agreements and client-facing environments
Experience coordinating contractors vendors and small projects
Understanding of sustainability initiatives and energy reduction practices
Strong customer service and communication skills
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Work in mechanical rooms rooftops office spaces and outdoor environments
Perform physical tasks including lifting climbing bending and working in confined spaces
Use hand tools power tools and specialized maintenance equipment
Wear personal protective equipment as required
Stand walk and perform manual tasks for extended periods
Exposure to mechanical electrical and plumbing systems in varying temperatures
