POSITION SUMMARY:
This is your chance to gain real-world experience in the legal department of a Fortune Global 500 company. Johnson Controls is seeking two (2) enthusiastic law students to work with its in-house legal team for 10 weeks during the summer of 2026. The interns will have exposure to various aspects of a global corporate legal environment including contract review litigation labor and employment intellectual property data privacy compliance investigations and mergers and acquisitions. We are a highly collaborative team so the interns will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects. This is a paid position.
LOCATION:
This internship is based primarily at Johnson Controls North America Headquarters in Glendale WI.
RESPONSIBITLITIES:
As a member of the Johnson Controls Legal Department you will work closely with members of the in-house legal team as well as with business professionals across the enterprise and outside counsel. Your responsibilities may include substantive research and writing document review and risk analysis.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Candidates must be full-time law students that will complete their first year of law school immediately before the internship. The internship is for the summer of 2026.
QUALIFICATIONS:
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $27.00 - $29.00/hour (Hourly rate to be determined by the education experience knowledgeskills and abilities of the applicant internal equity location and alignment with market data.)
