The opportunity
At Hitachi Energy our purpose is advancing a sustainable energy future for all. We are looking for a highly motivated Business Financial Controller to join our Grid Automation unit supporting operations in the Netherlands Belgium and France. This role can be based in Rotterdam (NL) or Zaventem (BE).
As a local Business Controller you will play a key role in enabling effective business decisions by monitoring analyzing and interpreting financial data. You will ensure accurate reporting compliance with standards and provide financial insights that drive operational excellence and strategic growth.
How youll make an impact
Deliver monthly closings forecasts and full financial packages on time ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and business managers to support operational decision-making.
Provide financial support across the full project lifecycle from tendering to execution close-out and warranty.
Monitor KPIs to optimize cost structures and improve productivity.
Perform quality checks on reporting data including analytical reviews of major fluctuations and FX impacts.
Ensure compliance with company policies IFRS standards and internal controls; support internal and external audits.
Drive transparency in financial reporting and disclosures.
Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and contribute to transformation initiatives.

Your background
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Finance Economics or a related field.
57 years of experience in finance and business control; project control experience is a plus.
Strong accounting analytical and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and solid knowledge of ERP systems (SAP or S4).
A collaborative team player with a proactive goal-oriented mindset.
Fluent in English (written and spoken); Dutch and French are an advantage.
