Job Description
In this position you will be responsible for the design and delivery of the IT infrastructure for a customer system participating from Sales until Service Take Over.
Typically these projects have a duration between 6 16 months combining design execution validation and support on stability. Located in industrial zones with high critical production shifts (24/7).
You will play a crucial role in analysis of customer requirements and cybersecurity regulations. You will translate these into suitable designs and advise on the impact these have on other disciplines as well (Typically 70% IT 30% OT).
You will be collaborating with enthusiastic colleagues all over the world to create infrastructure solutions that exceed customer expectations. You will lead various projects and initiatives where your effective communication and organization skills as well as your flexibility will be crucial.
Focusing on providing the best possible solution to the customer you will also align and interact with other stakeholders from various Vanderlande departments each focusing on their area of expertise aiming to a common goal of implementing a superb customer solution time after time.
You will be part of the IT Delivery department which is responsible for designing and delivering IT as part of our customer solution. Our delivery forms an integral part of the automated material handling systems and is based on Microsoft/Linux standards VMware Hyper-V Kubernetes Cisco Siemens Lenovo Fortinet and HPE hardware.
Your responsibilities
End-to-end architecture ownership.
Pre-sales and technical guidance/support.
Effort estimation and cost advisor.
Design of: Networking HA Systems Virtualization and Security.
Integrated design of IT OT layers (PLC SCADA Fieldbus).
Supervisor of the implementation (with dynamic hands-on approach as per projects needs).
Validator and quality assurance of the as-build system solution delivered.
Alignment with relevant stakeholders (both internal and external).
Participation on optimizations and continuous improvement circles of our products.
Your profile:
Bachelor/master level in a relevant field e.g. Computer Science or Information Technology.
Strong knowledge about IT Infra systems (Servers Operating Systems Knowledge of complex networking design and IT infrastructure; high availability performance reliability redundancy and disaster recovery strategies.
6 years experience on multi-disciplinary industrial IT Infrastructure implementations.
Experience in industrial real time systems.
Experience in designing complex server / client structures based on current Windows / Linux systems and virtualization and/or containerization technology.
Knowledge of cloud technology (Azure) and containerization using CNAP Docker Kubernetes and Helm are an advantage.
Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
(Optional) Experience with security standards like NIS2 NIST IEC62443 and the Cyber Resilience Act.
(Optional) Having hardware knowledge of HPE Fortinet and Cisco are an advantage.
(Optional) Knowledge of TCP/IP interfaces is an advantage.
Be willing to travel worldwide (occasionally: 5% - 10%).
Highly regarded (optional):
Driving license.
Knowledge of big data analysis and use of BI platforms.
Experience within the logistic/production sector and material handling.
