Position Overview

We are seeking skilled Welders & Fitters to join a leading turnkey manufacturer in the natural gas industry. The Welders & Fitters in this role will perform advanced structural welding and fitting complete required tests and work with large structural components in a high-quality fabrication environment.

Required Tests

Fluxcore vision test on beam and pipe
Uphill overhead and flat welding on beam
Flat welding on pipe
3G double bevel on 1 plate butted up
Test will be shot per code
Must carbon arc back then fill and cap in same 3G position

Key Responsibilities

Structural Fitters must take an open book written test
Work with I-beam sizes ranging from 6x25 to 12x50
Fit and weld finished units ranging from 8 x 20 to 16 x 50
Read and interpret blueprints drawings and general weld procedures
Follow AWS D1.1 welding codes and standards
Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely

Qualifications

Proven welding and fitting experience
Ability to pass all required weld tests
Strong blueprint reading and structural fabrication knowledge
Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment
Experience working with large structural assemblies preferred
