Mechanical Designer who can independently convert 3D models into accurate 2D fabrication drawings for tanks vessels and various static equipment. The candidate should have strong experience in detailing drafting and understanding standard codes and typical fabrication workflows.
- Develop detailed fabrication drawings from 3D models (tanks vessels silos skid equipment).
- Prepare GA drawings nozzle orientations shell development support details weld maps BOM and fabrication shop drawings.
- Extract drawings and details from 3D CAD models (SolidWorks / Inventor / AutoCAD / Creo or similar).
- Interpret mechanical data sheets design calculations P&IDs and vendor documents.
- Work closely with mechanical engineers to finalize all design details.
- Ensure all drawings comply with ASME API EN IS or relevant static equipment standards.
- Maintain high-quality drafting practices and revision control.
- Coordinate with fabrication teams to resolve drawing/fit-up issues.
- Strong expertise in 3D modeling and 2D drafting (Inventor / SolidWorks / AutoCAD Mechanical / Creo).
- Excellent understanding of tank and vessel detailing including:
- Shell & head development
- Nozzle neck & reinforcement details
- Support structures (skirts legs saddles)
- Lifting lugs platforms ladders
- Welding details & Bill of Materials
- Ability to read/interpret ASME Section VIII API 650/620 IS/EN standards.
- Good knowledge of tolerances fabrication methods & shop practices.
- Ability to work with engineering teams and take design input clearly.
