Caregiver Opportunity: Compassionate Support for Female Client with Alzheimers & Dementia

Location: Greater San Antonio Area
Schedule: 12 HR day time shift available; must be willing to rotate weekends

About the Role

Senior Helpers of Greater San Antonio is currently seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide private duty care for a female client living with Alzheimers and dementia. We are looking for caregivers who bring patience understanding assertiveness and reliability to ensure safety dignity and comfort in daily care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing grooming dressing toileting)
• Transferring and positioning of the client
• Support with mobility and safe transfers
• Assist with meals and encourage proper nutrition
• Companionship and conversation
• Monitor cognitive changes and communicate effectively with family/agency staff
• Maintain a structured calm environment to reduce confusion and anxiety

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Prior experience working with clients with cognitive impairments (Alzheimers dementia or related conditions preferred)
• CPR Certification a plus
• Weekend availability may be required
• Strong interpersonal skills: patient empathetic and understanding
• Assertive and dependable in managing care needs
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
