JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Penn State Altoona is currently accepting applications for a part-time Assistant at the Theatre/Art Gallery/Box Office.
- Provide assistance within the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts (i.e. hospitality security and record keeping).
- Assists with Misciagna events set up and strike answers telephones and handles minor problems/concerns for students.
- Creates and posts marketing materials for performances.
- Monitors and promotes security for art exhibits in the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts.
- Assists in maintaining gallery and art collection records.
- Provides supportwith the inventory of theatre and gallery supplies campus artwork and installs of exhibitions.
- Assists with the operation of Theatre Gallery and Box Office for Cultural and Performing Arts Series as well as VAST programming and Performing Arts programming.
- Assists with the maintenance of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts theatre galleries and public areas.
- When needs arise may assist backstage.
- This position primarily provides support to the Theatre and Gallery Coordinator.
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988 Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security such as those concerning alcohol and drug use crime prevention the reporting of crimes sexual assault and other matters.
