Job Summary

This position is Assistant Softball Coach at Pittsburg High School. This position reports to the Head Softball Coach at PHS and the Athletic Director.

Requirements are as follows:

*Assist in coordination and supervision of PHS softball program

*Assist during practice time each day in development/refinement of basic fundamental skills for softball as well as supervision of athletes on bus on the field etc

*Work with parents/booster club as needed

*Abide by all KSHSAA and NFHS rules and view/pass all required rules meeting concussion prevention and heat illness certifications

*CPR/1st Aid and AED certfied (willing to obtain cerfitication).

*Help students achieve gains in athletic skills and team performance

*Assist Head Coach in collection of participation forms/permission forms

*Assist Head Coach in other areas of the softball program as needed: camps injury report submission game management fundraising academic monitoring and grade checks.

Prior experience/knowledge as a softball player/coach is preferred but not required.
