1625 Outreach is no normal drug and alcohol service. It is an innovative and forward-thinking projectwith a proven track record of effectively engaging young people and young adults. Our ethos is centred around the principles of harm reduction. We provide non-judgmental fact-based information and advice surrounding drug and alcohol use and the associated risks. We aim to give young people and young adults the knowledge and skills to make more informed choices to keep themselves and their peers aware safe and well when it comes to drugs/alcohol.
Responsibilities
Volunteering at 1625 Outreach
Working with those aged 16 to 25 you will support 1625 Outreachs work across Derby Derbyshire & Sheffield. The role could include engaging with and providing advice and information to young people in:
The Community (e.g. parks youth centres halls of residence)
Education settings (e.g. schools colleges & universities)
Night-time Economy outreach supporting training with NTE staff and venues (Nightclubs Street
Pastors Security Staff).
As well as receiving extensive training and experience through this role we hope you will also have lots of fun and enjoyment as you volunteer with us. Youll also meet other 1625 Outreach volunteers in this role and have an opportunity to contribute to the important work 1625 Outreach does in your community.
