Job Summary/Description:
Telemundo Nashville operated within WSMV 4 is seeking a bilingual newscast producer who can connect with Middle Tennessees growing Spanish-language community and deliver impactful platform-optimized content. Dynamic producers with a passion for breaking and hard news. The ideal candidates will have a sense of urgency creativity and resourcefulness.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Craft a compelling daily newscast with high production value and a sense of urgency
- Co-ordinate on-air news coverage with anchor reporters managers and other news staff
- Gather accurate information through various sources
- Contribute to Telemundo Nashvilles multi-media efforts
- Interact with viewers and users on social media sites
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Previous experience producing television newscasts or news content preferably in a Spanish-language newsroom
- Strong news judgment excellent writing skills and an understanding of issues relevant to Middle Tennessees Spanish-language community
- Proven ability to work under pressure and manage breaking news situations
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments and manage several tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of newsroom systems production workflows and digital platforms
- Fluency in English and Spanish written and spoken and an understanding of differences in how Spanish is spoken in Mexico and the rest of Latin America.
