AdventHealth is seeking an experienced and visionary physician leader to serve as Executive Medical Director (EMD) of the AdventHealth Cancer Institute (AHCI) . This individual will spearhead the continued growth of our regional oncology program build upon our national partnership and collaborate closely with physician leaders in our region to expand access to advanced patient-centered cancer care. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping and growing oncology services lines and expanding into other subspecialized tumor our affiliation with the UChicago Medicine Cancer Network a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center ranked No. 12 nationally by U.S. News & World Report the Executive Medical Director will help bring world-class treatments research and clinical trials to patients across the Mid-America Region for OverviewThe Executive Medical Director will:Lead the strategic growth and performance of cancer services across the Mid-America Region which encompasses four hospitals and multiple clinics in the Kansas City with physician leaders and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality integrated and cost-effective research and innovation by expanding access to clinical trials and fostering academic referral networks and enhance market presence while ensuring alignment with AdventHealths mission and the majority of time to leadership responsibilities while maintaining some clinical practice in area of specialty ProfileSkills & Qualities:Charismatic credible and collaborative leaderProven ability to mentor physicians and foster teamwork across specialties and care sitesStrong communication relationship-building and strategic planning skillsKnowledge of regulatory standards and value-based cancer care deliveryExperience & Credentials:Ten or more years of oncology (or related subspecialty) practice experienceDemonstrated success leading a nationally recognized cancer programBoard certified in area(s) of trainingAbility to obtain Kansas physician licensureClinical research experience including principal investigator roles and recent publicationsCertified clinical trials investigator
