Role Overview The Human Resources Generalist supports the full spectrum of HR activities including recruitment onboarding payroll benefits compliance and employee relations. This role partners with leaders and employees to ensure HR processes run smoothly projects move forward successfully and the organization maintains a positive inclusive and high-performing workplace culture.
The ideal candidate brings strong HR knowledge attention to detail excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset. This is a hands-on role with both administrative responsibilities and strategic opportunities. This role reports directly to the VP of Human Resources and is a full-time exempt position. Key Responsibilities - Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies benefits processes and general inquiries.
- Support initiatives that strengthen employee engagement recognition and culture.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle including job postings sourcing strategies resume screening interview coordination background checks references and offer letters.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to develop accurate job descriptions and identify hiring needs.
- Lead and continuously enhance new hire onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a positive and consistent employee experience.
- Own all tasks related to payroll processing ensuring accuracy timeliness and compliance.
- Maintain and audit employee records in the HRIS; ensure data accuracy confidentiality and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws and recommend best practices.
- Maintain and update HR policies procedures and the employee handbook in collaboration with HR leadership.
- Respond to unemployment claims garnishments employment verifications and other formal requests.
- Lead and support HR projects from research through successful implementation.
