Requires high level skill and decision making in the practice of obstetrics and gynecology including managing patients throughout pregnancy and labor as well as determining what patients require surgery the timing and types of operations to perform and providing preoperative perioperative and postoperative care. Supports SEARHC in its mission by providing the highest quality obstetric and gynecologic surgical care to all SEARHC traveling throughout the Consortium also supports the SEARHC mission in delivering specialty care in our patients home Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the JobProvides comprehensive obstetrical services to inpatients and outpatients in Juneau AK at SEARHC Obstetrics and Gynecology/Juneau Obstetrics and Gynecology clinic and at Bartlett Regional Hospital to include evaluations clinical analysis and recommendations regarding complex diverse methods of therapy and treatment. Consults with family practice physicians regarding complex obstetrical decisions and as gynecologic consultant for all SEARHC providers. Performs complex analysis and evaluation of complex patients and makes diagnostic and therapeutic recommendations for their ongoing care. Performs obstetric and gynecologic surgical procedures across all aspects of the Bartlett Regional Hospital (Juneau) and/or Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center (Sitka) for OB/GYN call as assigned for all gynecologic and obstetrical emergencies including C-sections. Participates with Family Practice physicians in primary obstetrical in all medical staff functions as requested to include quality assurance reviews and medical staff by medical staff bylaws rules and regulations and clinical services policies/ Certifications and Licenses RequiredM.D. or D.O. and valid licensure by the Alaska State Medical requiredExperience RequiredSuccessful completion of an accredited obstetrics and gynecology certification or eligibility by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or The American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Certifications:
