Job Summary

The Assembly & Test Technician performs standard testing processes on a variety of equipment and records and analyzes results. 

They are responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of equipment through rigorous testing procedures. 

This role requires knowledge of industry-specific tests and testing equipment as well as practical experience with tools and mechanical systems.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Conduct and monitor testing processes on various equipment.

  Record data from testing in standard formats and provide results to product and engineering teams.

  Analyze test data to identify any defects malfunctions or performance issues.

  Collaborate with technical teams to recommend solutions for testing problems or equipment malfunctions.

  Maintain repair and calibrate test equipment and systems.

  Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to testing procedures.

  Develop new test procedures in collaboration with the engineering team.

  Ensure that test procedures comply with safety regulations and standards.

 

Qualifications:

 

  0-2 years of experience in the field or a related area.

  Knowledge of industry-specific tests and testing equipment (e.g. calipers drop mics bore gauges inside/outside micrometers).

  Experience with torque wrench use and mechanical systems.

  Familiarity with standard concepts practices and procedures within the field.

  Ability to work under direct supervision and accomplish goals with limited experience and judgment.

Creativity and latitude required for problem-solving.

  Ability to lift weights exceeding 30 lbs. and handle physical risks associated with testing. Reporting Structure: Typically reports to a supervisor.
