Job Summary

What we are looking for: Metros Speech Department continues to grow and we are looking for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist in Nassau County. Strong Clinical Fellow applicants with experience in treating adults and dysphagia are encouraged to apply. The position is hybrid with 20 hours split between two of our outpatient clinics in Bellmore & Rockville Center and 20 hours homecare throughout Nassau County. Caseload demographics include: Aphasia Dysphagia Pediatrics School-Age Voice Cognitive Communication Disorders AAC use etc.

Metro is looking for a motivated compassionate forward-thinking Speech Therapist who excels at assessing patients strengths and weaknesses and devising creative but effective treatment plans. Were looking for flexible and all-in teammates who are excited by the opportunity to take on emerging challenges.

Job Type: Full-Time

  • Pay rate: $65/hour
  • Location: Brooklyn (Carroll Gardens)
  • Schedule: Flexible!  You will have full autonomy over your caseload.

Qualifications :

Qualifications

  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New York or eligible.
  • Initial TSSLD
  • Evaluates a patients need for speech therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan.
  • Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan agency policy and professional standards of care.
  • Instructs family members Home Health Aides and other caregivers in appropriate speech therapy techniques & HEP
  • Mandatory Certifications: First Aid AED & CPR Certifications (live course)
