Job Summary
As a Graduate Diagnostics Physicist you will support diagnostic systems by operating maintaining and demonstrating equipment in line with procedures as well as designing and manufacturing replacements or upgrades and developing analysis code for diagnostic outputs. You will also analyse diagnostic data to validate system performance and support effective fusion operations.
Other responsibilities:
- Contribute to research on MAST-U and other fusion work packages
- Report results at science and other regular progress meetings.
- Disseminate results through conferences and peer reviewed journal papers.
Qualifications :
- Degree in Science or Engineering from 2024 or 25
- Confident with all Microsoft applications including Excel Word and Powerpoint
- Hands-on experience operating diagnostics hardware and analysing experimental data
- Driven with a strong appetite to learn and take on new challenges
- Able to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Well organised and adaptable with the ability to plan and prioritise workload
