Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Shredder Cleaner to join our team for the afternoon shift Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm. As a Shredder Cleaner you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our shredding equipment. Your role will involve removing debris and ensuring optimal performance.
What youre responsible for:
- Clean and maintain shredding equipment including conveyor systems screens magnets and other components to ensure optimal performance and prevent contamination
- Remove unwanted materials such as non-metallic objects dirt and other contaminants from the shredder and its surrounding areas to prevent damage and maintain efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment
- Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures and other safety practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shredder area ensuring the removal of debris proper waste disposal and general housekeeping tasks
Qualifications :
To join our team:
- Previous experience in an industrial cleaning or maintenance role is preferred
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve standing bending lifting and manual dexterity
- Attention to detail and the ability to spot and remove contaminants from the shredder equipment effectively
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills to interact with supervisors operators and other team members
