DIS is currently seeking a phlebotomist who will be responsible for assisting Veterans with veteran care. This will be supporting the VA on-site in Bedford MA. The HT will keenly understand federal health agencies policies regulations and structure. The ideal candidate will have a desire and ambition to provide the best-in-class service and support to all of our clients and DIS team members. Someone who possesses the ability to be diplomatic accommodating and adaptable to changing work environments and project scopes.
Job Responsibilities:
- The employee will perform patient phlebotomy to include inpatient ward rounds inpatient and outpatient Emergency Department (ED) STAT as soon as possible (ASAP) and timed draws.
- The employee will perform sample processing and send out preparation.
Education Experience and Licensing Requirements:
- Must have three (3) years of recent Phlebotomy experience.
- MUST possess an active HTL Certification
- Must possess any of the following certifications:
- Phlebotomy Technician Certification (PBT)
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CBT)
Physical and Cognitive Requirements:
The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Physical
- Frequently required to sit and work at a desk/computer for extended periods of time of up to 8 hours a day.
- While performing the responsibilities of the job the employee is required to talk and hear.
- Must be able to have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on computer and/or related office equipment.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Cognitive
- Ability to learn new tasks.
- Ability to maintain focus and complete tasks independently.
- Ability to remember processes.
- Ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
